WELCOME

Welcome to the Django website, devoted to many aspects of Jamaican music, from the early ska days, through rocksteady, and into the many variations of reggae. This site originally appeared in June 1999, and received much praise from visitors and even the music press. The site was so successful that the web counter went right round and back to zero!

What they said:

"I`m glad to hear there are still some true fans out there."
Neville Staple (The Specials, Fun Boy Three)

"Nuff respect, fa-real! I was just viewing your website which I found very informational indeed, yeah positive vibes...
Alpheus (Studio One artiste)

"I love what I`ve seen of your page, keep it up!"
the late Carl Ayton (Bloodfire Posse)

"Took time out today to read your lovely website. Thanks for letting everyone know about the pioneers of our music."
Norma Fraser (Studio One artiste)
